Munsell reaches base 3 times in Engineers Win
|
Shreveport third baseman Jeremiah Munsell contributed to his team's 8-3 win over the Tennessee Smokies. Munsell went 2 for 2 with 1 run scored to lead the offensive attack for the Engineers. The winning pitcher was Juan Cisneros. He tossed 95 pitches over 6 innings, allowing 2 runs on 4 hits. Ché Baez finished to wrap up his 2nd save.
Making an impact for the home team was Baltasar Rocha. In the bottom of the sixth, the 26-year old center fielder had a run-scoring sacrifice fly. That made the score 4-2, Engineers.
"Winning is not something we take for granted," Rocha said.
The Engineers, now 17-3, have played inspired baseball.
