|
The Alexandria Aces handed the St. Petersburg Flying Squirrels a 5-3 defeat in 10 innings at The Diamond. Center Fielder Noah Ryan starred for Alexandria. He belted 2 home runs. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice. Alexandria reliever Quentin Shane was the winner. His record is now 1-1. D.J. Hargrove took the loss. The win takes Alexandria to 6-11.
Ryan had a game-changing home run in the top of the tenth. On a full count fastball from D.J. Hargrove, he banged a 2-run home run to right, giving the Aces a 5-3 lead. It was the 3rd home run of the year for Ryan.
In postgame remarks, Ryan said: "I'm proud of our guys, of their fight."
