The San Antonio Missions had to overcome a fine performance from Alexandria pitcher Joseph George to grab a 2-0 win at Blue Wahoos Stadium. George allowed 1 run over 7.1 innings. The loss drops Alexandria to 1-16.
The Missions had to work out of trouble in the bottom of the ninth. The score was 2-0, San Antonio, with one out. Alexandria, with a runner on 1st, was mounting a threat. Julian Carroll dug in at the plate, but on a first pitch fastball, he grounded out.
