Scouts Notch 5-1 Win Versus Braves
Chattanooga starter Simon Masson put a stranglehold on the Mississippi offense. The right-hander had complete command of his fastball in leading the Scouts to a 5-1 win. Picking up his 1st save was 26-year old right-handed pitcher Craig Kendall. The win brings the Scouts to 12-8, a promising start as the team looks to return to the playoffs.

Levi Brewer hit a 2-run double off Sven Irwin in the bottom of the first, which put the Scouts in front, 2-0. In addition to the double, Brewer had 1 single, while going 2 for 3.

"It takes a lot of things to win a ballgame," said Chattanooga manager Fletcher Goolsby. "It's usually not just one thing."
