|
In the 5-4 Montgomery win over Tennessee, the impact of Colton Garner was substantial. Garner, who is tied for 7th in the SL in home runs with 5, went 3 for 4 with a home run and a double, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Montgomery reliever Bear Bridges snagged the win, upping his record to 2-0. Leonardo López shouldered the loss. With the win, Montgomery improves its record to 14-5.
Chris Hurley was the walk-off hero for Montgomery. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Biscuits shortstop hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
"It was bedlam at the end," Garner said.
