Small Hits Two Homers in 8-2 Win for Mississippi
Enthusiastic fans came out to support the home team at Trustmark Park.

Behind the bravura of center fielder Beyers Small, the Mississippi Braves topped the Frisco RoughRiders by the score of 8-2. Small went 2 for 3 with 2 home runs and 2 walks for the Braves. The winning pitcher was 24-year old right-handed pitcher Stephen McGeary. He tossed 90 pitches over 6 innings, allowing 2 runs on 7 hits. The save was credited to D.K. Smith, his 1st.

Small had a big at-bat with the bases empty in the bottom of the fourth inning, when he hit a solo home run. The Braves went on to win.

"I put some good swings on the ball tonight," said Small.

The win puts Mississippi at 7-7.
