Crabs Do In Grizzlies, 8-2

Boosted by the 3-hit performance of C.J. Clark the Providence Crabs defeated the Gateway Grizzlies, 8-2. Ted Bond came out of the bullpen to earn the win. The right-hander allowed no runs on 3 hits in 3.1 innings. His record now stands at 1-0. Bryan Elvas earned the save, his 1st.
Making an impact for Providence was right fielder Phil Parker. Penguin drilled a double off Cullen Mentzel in the bottom of the fourth. For the game, Parker went 3 for 4 with a double and 2 singles.
"It's nice to see a lot of guys make contributions," said Crabs manager Adam Baron.
The win gives Providence a record of 5-5.
