The exploits of third baseman Jeremiah Munsell helped the Shreveport Engineers defeat the St. Petersburg Flying Squirrels, 7-2. Munsell went 1 for 1 with a home run and 3 walks, while scoring 2 and driving in 2. Shreveport has a mark of 10-0 after the win.
The Engineers got a big hit from designated hitter José María Maynes. In the bottom of the fifth, Maynes pounded a grand slam home run to left. His 5th home run of the season put the Engineers ahead, 5-0.
