Fisher Cats Use Late Rally to Win
The New Hampshire Fisher Cats faced a tough opponent in Akron pitcher Denis Lam, but did just enough to pull out the victory at Northeast Delta Dental Stadium by a final score of 6-4. Lam went 5 innings and allowed 1 run. The winner in relief was Justin Roy. He is now 1-0. The right-hander allowed no runs on 2 hits in 3 innings. Getting the save was Alexas Freund, his 3rd.

New Hampshire took a 6-4 lead on Bernard Lawson's 1st double of the season. The bases-clearing double, which Lawson hit in the bottom of the eighth, left Akron pitcher Jayden Eaves visibly frustrated.

New Hampshire manager Mario Javier commended his team for exhibiting "no shortage of effort."

The win gives New Hampshire a record of 6-4.
