Flying Squirrels Keep Chugging, Win, 7-2
The St. Petersburg Flying Squirrels stymied the San Antonio Missions, 7-2, at The Diamond. Wade Shull had a good day at the plate. He was 3-4 with a home run, a double, and a walk for St. Petersburg. St. Petersburg, with the win, is 6-2.

Augustine Beltran had a big grand slam home run for the Flying Squirrels in the bottom of the fourth inning. With St. Petersburg leading 1-0 and the bases loaded, he got a fastball from Sohichiro Katayama and swatted a home run to left-center. It was his 1st home run of the season, and more importantly, it put the Flying Squirrels ahead, 5-0.

"We haven't been playing to the level we want to play," said San Antonio manager Matt Bruno.
