Lewis Excels, Chattanooga Levels Biloxi
|
The Chattanooga Scouts handed the Biloxi Shuckers a sound defeat, 13-3, at AT&T Field. L.J. Lewis was a main contributor to the win. He was 2 for 3 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 3 and driving in 3 for Chattanooga. Pierce Chambers collected save number 1. The Scouts, now 2-0, have hit the ground running this season.
Chattanooga third baseman Kyle Charles contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the first. With two down, he hit a splitter to left-center field for a 2-run single. It was his 3rd hit of the season and put the Scouts ahead, 3-0.
"Bad day," Biloxi manager Júlio Sánchez said. "New day tomorrow."
