Braves Score Late, Topple Aces, 3-2
|
The Mississippi Braves earned a win at Blue Wahoos Stadium, stopping the Alexandria Aces, 3-2. Starting pitcher Steve Watt played a big role in his team's success. The save went to Zachary Murch, his 1st this season. Mississippi is now 2-2.
William Aharoni delivered a big hit for Mississippi. The right fielder drilled a solo home run in the top of the ninth inning to put the Braves ahead, 3-2. It was his only hit, but it was a beauty.
"Steve really held it together well," said Mississippi manager Sandy Estrada.
