Frisco Triumphs with Late Surge
|
Baseball fans saw a good contest between the Frisco RoughRiders and Rocket City Trash Pandas.
Frisco picked up a win at Hank Aaron Stadium, bumping off the Rocket City Trash Pandas, 6-4. Pitcher Bernie Salinas was a major reason the RoughRiders emerged victorious. The winner was Frisco reliever Halton Silverio, now 1-0. The loser was Adrián Mazzocchi. Picking up the save was Sterling Green, his 2nd.
Cody Geddes came through with a big-time hit for Frisco. The catcher smacked a grand slam home run in the top of the ninth inning to give his team the lead, 6-4. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.
"If the personal accolades come, so be it," said Geddes. "I just want to win ballgames."
With the win, Frisco lifts its record to 3-0.
