The New Hampshire Fisher Cats beat the Quebec Metros, 8-7, in part because of shortstop Maurice Roth. He hit 2 home runs, while adding 3 RBI and scoring twice. Jase Randolph, who went 5 innings, was the winning pitcher. He was charged with 1 run on 6 hits, while walking 2 and striking out 4. His record now stands at 2-0. The Metros, 4-7, continue their sluggish start to the 2063 campaign.

New Hampshire used a clutch at-bat from Seth Morvant to capture the win. The right fielder hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the fourth inning to put the Fisher Cats ahead, 4-1. It was his lone hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.

"We'll enjoy this win for now, but it's just one," Morvant told local reporters. "We've got to keep it going."
