The Shreveport Engineers beat the Midland RockHounds, 9-6, with major props going to first baseman Jayden Lamothe. On the day, Lamothe went 2-4 with a home run. He drove in 3 runs and scored once for the Engineers. Jayson Thomas nailed down his 1st save. The win puts Shreveport at 2-2.

Shreveport used a well-timed hit by Dylan Lum to capture the win. The third baseman socked a bases-clearing double in the top of the first inning to put the Engineers ahead, 3-0. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it was important.

"It's nice to come out on top today," said Lum.
