The Altoona Curve stymied the Halifax Frigates, 7-0, at People's Natural Gas Field. Sireno Estevez had a good day at the plate. He was 4-4 with a home run and 3 singles, while scoring 2 and driving in 2 for Altoona. The 5th-place Frigates have lost 5 straight games.

Woodrow Collins had a big 2-run double for the Curve in the bottom of the fifth inning. With Altoona leading 1-0 and the bases loaded, he got a slider from 24-year old right-handed pitcher Christian Sam and swatted a double to center. It was his 27th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Curve ahead, 3-0.
