Yonkers Tops Quebec, 8-5
|
The game between Yonkers and Quebec is in the books, despite a little rain.
The 4-RBI night of first baseman Cory Mihm, who was drafted in the 3rd round of the 2056 draft, helped the Yonkers Dark Knights triumph, 8-5, over the Quebec Metros. The win was credited to 27-year old right-handed pitcher Yuvenal Brito in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Raymond Piper took the loss.
Joseph Riggs, who is rated as the 27th best prospect by BNN, helped out the Yonkers cause in the top of the eighth inning with a run-scoring walk. For the game, the left fielder went 2 for 3 with 2 singles and 2 walks, while scoring 3 runs.
"They beat us fair and square," Quebec skipper Zeke Butler said.
Yonkers has a mark of 6-3 after the win.
