Rumble Ponies Edge Past RubberDucks, 6-5
Baseball fans saw a good contest between the Binghamton Rumble Ponies and Akron RubberDucks.

Binghamton center fielder Denilson Carrillo played a vital role in his team's 6-5 conquest of Akron. He was 3 for 4 with 3 doubles. He drove in 4 runs and scored once for Binghamton. The win gives Binghamton a season record of 75-59.

Carrillo had a game-changing double in the top of the eighth. On a 1-0 fastball from Roland Harrison, he banged a 2-run double to right-center, giving the Rumble Ponies a 6-5 lead. It was the 25th double of the year for Carrillo.

"We had the game right there for the taking," said Akron manager Damon Cordero. "But we decided not to take it."
