Fisher Cats Win, 3-1, Versus New Haven
|
New Hampshire and New Haven played a hard-fought contest.
The New Hampshire Fisher Cats got a magnificent performance from pitcher Caden Neitzel, who muffled the New Haven offense en route to a tight, 3-1 Fisher Cats win at The Ballpark at Jackson. Bracey Dula claimed the win after being brought in from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed 1 run on 1 hit in 3 innings. His record stands at 4-0.
New Hampshire used a timely hit from Richmond Ashley to get the win. The catcher stroked a 2-run double in the top of the eighth inning to put the Fisher Cats ahead, 3-1. It was his only hit in 2 at-bats, but it made an impact.
"The effort we put into this one paid off," Ashley said.
The first-place Fisher Cats now sit at 84-52.
