Grizzlies Saddle Patriots with 3-1 Loss
FNB Field was the site of a tense game between the Somerset Patriots and Gateway Grizzlies.

In a low-scoring affair between the Gateway Grizzlies and the Somerset Patriots, pitcher Catfish Crest was the difference between victory and defeat. The Gateway left-hander earned kudos in the 3-1 Grizzlies win. Justin Mandros earned the save for Gateway, his 5th of the year.

With scoring opportunities rare, the Grizzlies had to cash in when they had the chance. One such opportunity presented itself in the bottom of the third, when third baseman L.J. Roycroft Jr. hit a 2-run single. The single came off Benjamin Gravel and made the score 3-1, Grizzlies. Roycroft Jr. went 3-4 with 3 singles, while adding 2 RBI.

"Catfish is pitching with a lot of determination and a lot of fire," said Gateway manager Elijah Holmes.

Gateway has won 5 consecutive games.
