The Altoona Curve knocked off the Gateway Grizzlies, 4-3, at People's Natural Gas Field. Yesus Fregoso was a big reason Altoona won. The right fielder was 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. The win belonged to Rebel Wolenski in relief. His record improves to 4-2. Cullen Mentzel took the loss for Gateway. Adrian Tabak was credited with the save for Altoona, his 4th of the season.

Fregoso had a timely hit for Altoona in the bottom of the seventh. With Altoona trailing 3-1, he turned a 0-1 fastball into a 3-run home run. It was his 3rd home run of the season, making it 4-3, Altoona.

"Being able to play a game for a living is one thing. Being able to play it well and contribute to a win is even better," Fregoso told the Altoona Herald.

The Curve win now puts them at 75-60.
