Thibodeaux Helps Pilots Defeat Barnstormers, 6-4
Pilots designated hitter Jon Thibodeaux put his stamp on his team's 6-4 win over the Lancaster Barnstormers. Thibodeaux hit 2 home runs, while adding 3 RBI and scoring twice for Wichita in the contest. Wichita reliever Mike Lannon was the winner. His record is now 1-1. The losing pitcher was Michael Ruffing. J.J. Mackin notched his 33rd save of the season.

Thibodeaux had a game-changing home run in the top of the ninth. On a 2-1 fastball from Michael Ruffing, he banged a 2-run home run to left, giving the Pilots a 6-4 lead. It was the 23rd home run of the year for Thibodeaux.

Wichita manager Ryan Coleman was pleased with the team's effort. "It was just a good, gutsy performance by everybody," he said.

The Pilots go to 79-53, putting them 4th in the Eastern League Southwest Division.
