Razan Shigematsu was locked and loaded, helping the Gateway Grizzlies beat the Somerset Patriots, 5-1. The Grizzlies now have a record of 69-61.

The Grizzlies got a big at-bat from designated hitter Jayden Betancourt. For the game, Betancourt went 1-4 with a double, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the fourth, with runners on 2nd and 3rd, he stroked a 2-run double. His 20th double of the season gave Gateway a 2-1 lead.

"For the most part, I didn't think they knew what was coming," said Shigematsu.
