The Halifax Frigates and Wichita Pilots provided some drama for the home crowd.
In a low-scoring clash between Wichita and Halifax, pitcher Hunter Wronowski was a difference-maker. The right-hander earned praise for his performance in the 3-2 Pilots win. Getting the save was Alfredo Rodriguez, his 1st.
The Pilots got a big at-bat from designated hitter Dave Bowling. For the game, Bowling went 1-3 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the first, with a runner on 2nd, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 15th home run of the season gave Wichita a 2-0 lead.
"I felt good out of the gates," said Wronowski.
