Sea Dogs Nip Barnstormers, 4-3
|
The Portland Sea Dogs picked up a win at Hadlock Field, taking down the Lancaster Barnstormers, 4-3. Starting pitcher Ken Jensen was a big reason why. The win lifts Portland to a record of 1-4.
New York-born Finn Meadows came through in the clutch. In the bottom of the eighth, with the bases loaded and the Sea Dogs trailing 3-2, he hit a 2-run single to right to put Portland on top.
After the game, Portland manager Matt Aguirre applauded the team's effort. "They busted their humps out there," he said.
