The Hartford Yard Goats powered past the Akron RubberDucks, 8-6, at Dunkin' Donuts Park. Giorgio Loftus provided some of the pop. He was 1 for 1 with a home run. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. At 54-76, Hartford is in 7th place in the Eastern League North Division.

The game came to a dramatic end. In the bottom of the ninth, with Hartford trailing 6-5, Loftus hit a fastball from Tyler Thurston for a 3-run home run, giving the Yard Goats the walk-off win.
