Baysox Lose, 5-4, at Hadlock Field
The Portland Sea Dogs did just enough to sneak past the Bowie Baysox, 5-4, at Hadlock Field. Portland pitcher Jeremiah Mayhew, in particular, had a standout performance. Aiden Bennetch notched his 28th save of the season. Portland is last in the Eastern League North Division with a record of 53-76.

Waco Torkelson had a big run-scoring double for the Sea Dogs in the bottom of the fifth inning. With Portland leading 4-2 and a runner on 1st, he got a sinker from 25-year old right-handed pitcher J.D. Goldstein and swatted a double to left. It was his 15th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Sea Dogs ahead, 5-2.

"Jeremiah was hitting his spots and everything had life," said Portland manager Matt Aguirre.
