11-6 Triumph Takes New Hampshire to 86-45
|
The New Hampshire Fisher Cats beat the Lincoln Bighorns, 11-6, at Northeast Delta Dental Stadium. The Fisher Cats got a fine performance from center fielder Marty Van Pelt, who was 3 for 5 with a home run and 2 singles. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. New Hampshire improves to 86-45 with the win. They lead their division by 23 games.
Paulo Keith cracked a home run off Tony Troutman in the bottom of the first. His 2-run blast put the Fisher Cats on top, 2-0. In all, Keith had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 5.
