Fans who congregated at FNB Field were treated to extra-inning drama.

Altoona pitcher Gregory Duff did his part in helping his team beat the Gateway Grizzlies, 4-3. The right-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. After today's action, Altoona sits at 53-73; Gateway slips to 49-77.

Altoona took a 4-2 lead on Joey Goddard's 20th double of the season. The 2-run double, which Goddard hit in the top of the tenth, left Gateway pitcher Oscar Carrasco shaking his head.

"This was one of those 'not to be denied' games," said Altoona field general Sam Paulson.
