Binghamton pitcher Billy Joe Stephenson did his part in helping his team beat the New Haven Ravens, 7-2. The right-hander kept opposing batters from doing too much damage. The first-place Rumble Ponies, at 76-48, lead the Eastern League North Division by 9½ games.
Jason Eaves, the Binghamton first baseman, contributed a 2-run single in the bottom of the third inning to make the score 2-0, Rumble Ponies. For the game, Eaves went 2 for 4 with 2 singles, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2.
Eaves called the win "a pick-me-upper."
