The Lancaster Barnstormers picked up a win at FirstEnergy Stadium, topping the Gateway Grizzlies, 5-3. On the mound for Lancaster was right-hander Pogey Brice. He played a principal role in the triumph. Brice, now 10-5, was the winner. In 6 innings, he gave up 4 hits, while striking out 7, walking 2, and allowing 3 runs. Lombard Morrow zipped up his 27th save.

Jefferson Sepulveda had a big 2-run triple for the Barnstormers in the bottom of the second inning. With Lancaster leading 2-0 and runners on 2nd and 3rd, he got a fastball from 23-year old right-handed pitcher Jethro Ohnemus and swatted a triple to right-center. It was his 1st triple of the season, and more importantly, it put the Barnstormers ahead, 4-0.

"Pogey just settled in and did what he does," said Lancaster manager Josh Bieber.

The Barnstormers now own a record of 73-50.
