The Bowie Baysox used a great performance from Emiliano Quintero, who is tied for 2nd in the EL in quality starts with 16, to beat the Altoona Curve, 3-1, at Prince George's Stadium. Andy Farrell got credit for the save for Bowie. It was his 10th of the year. At 46-75, the Baysox are currently last in the Eastern League Southwest Division.

The Baysox got a big at-bat from designated hitter Orson Neufer. For the game, Neufer was 1-3 with a home run and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the third, with runners on 2nd and 3rd, he stroked a 3-run home run. His 6th home run of the season gave Bowie a 3-0 lead.

"Emiliano was cool as a cucumber," said Bowie manager Mike Pascarella.
