The Somerset Patriots blasted the Lincoln Bighorns, 15-5. Ray Buchholtz was one of the hitting stars. He went 4-6 with a home run and 3 singles, while scoring 2 times and driving in 4 for Somerset. The winner in relief was Victor Blanco. He is now 4-1. The right-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit in 4.1 innings. The Patriots now have a mark of 73-51.

The Bighorns had been locked in a 5-5 tie with the Patriots going into the bottom of the seventh inning. That changed quickly when the 22-year old center fielder Jonathan Hill came to the plate. Hill hit a run-scoring triple on a full count fastball from Lincoln hurler Nathan Sanderson. It was Hill's 5th triple of the year.
