The Wichita Pilots got a sterling performance from pitcher Lucas Ledgerwood, but the Lincoln Bighorns still prevailed, 5-2. Ledgerwood threw 5.2 innings allowing 1 runs. The save went to Bentley Jones, number 16 for him. The Bighorns now have a mark of 75-48.

Lincoln used a well-timed hit by Fernando Portal to capture the win. The pinch hitter socked a bases-clearing double in the top of the sixth inning to put the Bighorns ahead, 3-2. Though it was his only hit in 1 at-bat, it was important.

"It was our day today," Portal told the Lincoln Times. "But we've got to keep our nose to the grindstone."
