Extra innings were needed to determine a winner at Gunslingers Ballpark.

The Yonkers Dark Knights got a sterling performance from pitcher Kevin Ward, but the Quebec Metros still prevailed, 2-1. Ward threw 5.1 innings of shutout ball. Mitch Hall notched the win in relief. The left-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 2 innings. His record now sits at 3-3.

Quebec took advantage of an error in the top of the 11th inning. The game was tied, 1-1, when Florian Bartlett hit a run-scoring single that was misplayed. It put the Metros in front, 2-1.

Bartlett said he "would like to have scored more runs for Hall. But we'll gladly take this win."

The Metros improved to 54-67.
