The Hartford Yard Goats firmly defeated the Erie SeaWolves, 16-3, at Dunkin' Donuts Park. The Hartford offense was lit. Bradford Reese, for one, had a solid game. He went 2-2 with 2 singles and 2 walks, while scoring 2 and driving in 4 for the Yard Goats. Joel Brereton snagged the win in relief. The right-hander allowed no runs on 3 hits over 3.2 innings. He's now 2-0 on the season. The Yard Goats are now 66-58.

Dalton Marino helped his team take an early lead with a 2-run single. It came in the first inning, making the score 3-1, Yard Goats.

"I've been criticized for being a slacker, but the one thing I do care about is winning," Marino told the Hartford Herald.
