Erie turned a good effort from starter Chase Powell into a win over the Halifax Frigates at MGM Park. The SeaWolves won the game, 8-2. Halifax has now lost 4 straight.

Len Cameron had a big 2-run home run for the SeaWolves in the top of the sixth inning. With Erie leading 3-2 and a runner on 2nd, he got a fastball from Michael Havel and swatted a home run to right. It was his 14th home run of the season, and more importantly, it put the SeaWolves ahead, 5-2.

Powell told a Erie Bulletin reporter he was "pleased as punch" with the win.
