Timon Homers Twice in 7-2 Grizzlies Win
Caleb Timon impressed in the 7-2 Gateway win over Lincoln. Timon, who leads the EL in extra base hits with 56, hit 2 home runs. He drove in 4 runs and scored twice. Gateway occupies 5th place in the Eastern League Southwest Division at 62-56.

Gateway used a clutch at-bat from Celestino Ruiz to capture the win. The center fielder hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the first inning to put the Grizzlies ahead, 2-0. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.

"There's a lot of good karma around our club," said winning manager Elijah Holmes.
