Altoona Makes It 6 Straight with 8-4 Win
Isiah Talley did all he could to help his team win. In the end, though, it wasn't enough to keep the New Hampshire Fisher Cats from being beaten, 8-4, to the Altoona Curve at Northeast Delta Dental Stadium. Talley was 3-4 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 times. Rudi Tharp got credit for the save for Altoona. It was his 8th of the year. Altoona, at 76-42, sits in second place in the Eastern League Southwest Division.

Altoona used the timely hitting of Max Smallwood to seize the win. The designated hitter stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Curve on top, 5-4. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"I feel like we're rolling now," Smallwood told the Altoona Times."The dugout is coming alive."
