Rumble Ponies Top Yard Goats in Extras, 4-3

The Binghamton Rumble Ponies picked up a win at NYSEG Stadium, dropping the Hartford Yard Goats, 4-3, in 11 innings. Jeb Dollarhide, who is tied for 6th in the EL with a 8.3 K/9 rate, was the difference-maker. Binghamton pitcher Elijah Swinehart earned the win, hiking his record to 2-1. Jordy McCullough suffered the loss. The Rumble Ponies now own a record of 58-61.
Batting in the bottom of the 11th, 25-year old right fielder Torquato Velasquez had a real shot to win the game. Hartford pitcher Jordy McCullough was determined not to let it happen. But with no outs, Velasquez hit a 2-run single. The Rumble Ponies had a walk-off triumph.
"Same old, same old, unfortunately," said losing manager Marco Rios.
