The Providence Crabs knocked off the Yonkers Dark Knights, 6-4, at Holyoke Grounds. Phil Parker was a big reason Providence won. The second baseman was 3-4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. The loss makes Yonkers 46-72.
The game was still up for grabs in the bottom of the ninth. With no one out, Parker hit a fastball from Ben Comer for a 2-run home run. The Crabs, in dramatic fashion, had a walk-off win.
"This joint was rocking," said Parker.
