The Portland Sea Dogs got a superb performance from pitcher Gabe Taveras, but the Halifax Frigates still won the game, 4-1. Taveras threw 5.1 innings of 3-hit ball. Halifax reliever Aidan Walters picked up the win, raising his record to 10-7. Gabe Taveras was tagged with the loss. Hermes Rook finished the game for Halifax and earned his 8th save.

Palmer Holley had a direct impact on the outcome. Holley contributed a run-scoring walk in the top of the sixth inning to put Halifax up, 3-1.

In postgame remarks, Holley hailed his team's "mettle."

The 5th-place Frigates lifted their record to 59-61.
