Fisher Cats Get 4-1 Win Versus Halifax
|
The skies opened up and the rain fell at MGM Park.
New Hampshire shortstop Freddie Feeback played a vital role in his team's 4-1 triumph over Halifax. He was 3 for 4 with 2 doubles for New Hampshire. Jon Purser earned the save for New Hampshire, his 17th.
With New Hampshire leading 1-0 in the top of the first, Feeback hit a fastball from Mike Daugherty for a run-scoring double. It was his 11th double of the season and put the Fisher Cats ahead, 2-0.
"We made a couple of mistakes," said Halifax skipper Leo Olvera, "and it cost us."
New Hampshire is 74-46 and Halifax, with the loss, 46-74.
