Despite the rain, the fans at Jerry Uht Park enjoyed a good ballgame.

Getting an impressive start from Jason Harmon, Erie beat Wichita by the score of 3-0. The winner in relief was Dan Hughes. He is now 1-5. The left-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit in 2 innings.

Erie took a 1-0 lead on Reese Cleveland's 10th triple of the season. The run-scoring triple, which Cleveland hit in the bottom of the eighth, left Wichita pitcher Loïc Beauchamp visibly frustrated.

"Jason has got a slow heartbeat," said Erie manager Jose Villalobos. "He doesn't panic or anything."

Erie now owns a record of 55-63.
