The Wichita Pilots got great pitching from 26-year old right-handed pitcher Harrison McGinnis, allowing them to bump off the Quebec Metros, 3-1. Bang Niemi closed it out for Wichita, earning his 24th save. The Wichita win streak is now 3 games.

Dave Bowling delivered a big hit for Wichita. The designated hitter drilled a 2-run home run in the top of the seventh inning to put the Pilots ahead, 3-1. It was his only hit, but it was a beauty.

"The other side took advantage in some key situations," said Quebec manager Zeke Butler.
