Quebec registered a win at Metros Ballpark by beating the Lancaster Barnstormers, 5-4. Pitcher Laurencio Hedgspeth was one reason why the Metros triumphed. The winner in relief was Liu Soto. He is now 2-1. The right-hander allowed 1 run on 1 hit in 1.1 innings. The save went to Israel Heinrichs, number 8 for him.

With the bases empty and no one out in the bottom of the seventh inning, pinch hitter J.T. Simpson delivered big for the Metros. Quebec was trailing 4-3 when he belted a solo home run.

"We had the game right there for the taking," said Lancaster manager Josh Bieber. "But we decided not to take it."

The 6th-place Metros go to 53-65.
