The Quebec Metros eked out a 3-2 win versus the Altoona Curve at Metros Ballpark. Nobody did more than pitcher Bobby Meyer. He was terrific. The winner in relief was Delwyn Johnson. The right-hander allowed no runs on 2 hits in 2 innings. He now owns a record of 7-1. Quebec is now 71-47, while Altoona is 51-67.

The Metros relied on third baseman Jared Lee for the game-winning hit. And, in the bottom of the tenth, he delivered, hitting a run-scoring single to seal the deal.

"It's always nice to be on the winning side," Meyer told the Quebec Daily. "But we take nothing for granted."
