The Akron RubberDucks knocked off the Binghamton Rumble Ponies, 7-5, in Eastern League action at Canal Park. Akron pitcher and South Whittier, California, native Jesse Hepworth had an outstanding performance. The save went to E.J. Wang, number 14 for him. The defeat makes Binghamton 44-69.

Akron took a 5-4 lead on Dallas Dicks's 14th double of the season. The run-scoring double, which Dicks hit in the bottom of the eighth, left Binghamton pitcher Harris Lange visibly frustrated.

"We can always improve and get better, but we're feeling confident after that win," said Dicks.
