Gateway picked up a win at FNB Field, bumping off the Yonkers Dark Knights, 2-0. Pitcher Vinny Vanderbeek was a major reason the Grizzlies emerged victorious. Vanderbeek, now 3-5, was the winner. In 6.1 innings, he gave up 6 hits, while striking out 5, walking 1, and allowing no runs. David Tilley, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 19th save.

The Grizzlies got a big at-bat from shortstop Ignacio Ledesma. For the game, Ledesma went 2 for 3 with 2 doubles and a walk. In the bottom of the third, with a runner on 2nd, he stroked a run-scoring double. His 2nd double of the season gave Gateway a 1-0 lead.

"There was no wiggle room in this one," said Ledesma.
