Victory Pushes Bighorns Record to 60-50
|
Led by Samuel Hare, the Lincoln Bighorns downed the Wichita Pilots, 5-2. Hare went 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 2 and driving in 2 for the Bighorns. Lincoln pitcher Ayden Faber got the win. He's now 8-6. Mallory Coke was tagged with the loss. Hugo Arroyo, who is tied for 5th in the EL in saves with 18, nailed down the save.
In the bottom of the first, Ramón Sonora delivered a clutch hit. With two gone and the bases loaded, the Lincoln first baseman hit a run-scoring single, putting the Bighorns in front, 5-2.
"No disrespect to the other team," said Lincoln manager Jackson Ladue. "But it's nice to get an easy win."
The victory gives the Bighorns a record of 60-50.
