Baysox Handed 6-3 Loss
|
Halifax and Bowie duked it out and the Frigates came out victorious.
Halifax pitcher Jason LeCoq did his part in helping his team beat the Bowie Baysox, 6-3. The right-hander kept opposing batters from doing too much damage. The winner was LeCoq. He threw 5.0 innings of 4-hit ball. The loser was Steve Routh. Benjamin Morgan got the save, his 14th in 20 chances.
The Frigates got a big at-bat from designated hitter Herman Range. For the game, Range was 1-4 with a double. He drove in 3 runs. In the bottom of the second, with the bases loaded, he stroked a bases-clearing double. His 20th double of the season gave Halifax a 4-1 lead.
LeCoq attributed the win to his team's "focus and intensity."
The Frigates sit in 7th place in the Eastern League North Division with a record of 48-62.
