The Quebec Metros beat the Gateway Grizzlies, 8-2, at FNB Field. Quebec third baseman Doménico Chavez banged out 1 single and 1 double, while driving in 2 runs. Quebec reliever Thomas Bolden picked up the win, upping his record to 3-3. Hudson McMillen absorbed the loss. Quebec's record now stands at 35-70, placing them last in the Eastern League North Division.

With Quebec leading 3-2 in the top of the fifth, Chavez hit a cutter from Hudson McMillen for a 2-run double. It was his 6th double of the season and put the Metros ahead, 5-2.

"We need better swings, better at-bats," said losing manager Elijah Holmes.
