Starting pitcher Colin Monciaux pitched well enough to help the Altoona Curve beat the Quebec Metros, 6-3. Marco Mantecon earned his 20th save in 24 chances. Altoona is now 61-44.
The Curve got a big at-bat from designated hitter Quinn Wyman. For the game, Wyman was 1-4 with a home run. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the sixth, with a runner on 2nd, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 9th home run of the season gave Altoona a 5-3 lead.
Altoona manager Matt Hartford praised his team's "businesslike approach."
